Film - Dracula Has Risen From The Grave
When the belfry goes to the chapel to ring the bell, he finds a gruesome discovery. The bell doesn't ring and blood drips on his hands. The belfry runs out of the chapel scared out of his wits. The caretaker of the chapel takes a closer look at the bell. A woman falls out of the bell with bite marks on her neck.
Some years later, a priest, played by Ewan Hooper, climbs to Dracula's castle to exorcise the evil from it. A storm brews up and while the priest rides away from Dracula's castle on his carriage, the storm cause his carriage to overturn and he falls and becomes unconscious. His body cracks a pond and the blood from his forehead flows down to the grave of Dracula and into Dracula's mouth. Dracula awakens and makes the priest his personal servant.
The scene now takes you to a local English pub where Paul, played by Barry Andrews, is playing a balancing act game with a glass of beer. Zena, played by Barbara Ewing, is the waitress who has a crush on Paul, but unfortunately for her, Paul already has a girlfriend. Now enters Maria, played by Veronica Carlson, through the front door of the pub. Maria is the beautiful blond who lives with her uncle the Monsignor, played by Rupert Davies and her Aunt Anna, played by Marion Mathie.
Paul, too drunk to stand, is taken by Zena to room at the inn, which is also part of the pub. She pines about why Paul is Maria's girlfriend and not hers, while Paul lies drunk on the bed. Maria enters the room while Zena is trying to undress Paul and stops her. Zena leaves the room and leaves the pub to walk home. However, Zena is chased by a carriage driven by the priest and while she stops to catch her breath, Dracula appears and bites Zena.
The priest hides Dracula's coffin in basement of the inn. Zena, now Dracula's servant, is told by Dracula to bring Maria to him. Zena hesitantly brings Maria to Dracula, but she screams and is rescued by Paul.
Paul takes Maria home and leaves. As Maria gets ready for bed, Dracula enters her bedroom. He bites her and leaves without the Monsignor and his wife ever noticing what happened. The next night, Dracula enters Maria's room again and tries to bite her; but this time, the Monsignor enters Maria's room. Dracula flees the room at the sight of the Monsignor's cross. The Monsignor chases Dracula and the Monsignor falls and hurts himself. The injured Monsignor tells Paul that he must take the priest and destroy Dracula. Unfortunately, the priest smothers the Monsignor and kills him.
Dracula and the priest takes Maria to Dracula's castle. Paul follows them. When Maria and Dracula arrive at the front door of his castle, it's barricaded by a huge cross. Dracula forces Maria to remove the cross. She throws it over the cliff and as Dracula tries to enter his castle, Paul appears. Paul and Dracula fight each other and Paul throws Dracula over the cliff and onto the cross. The priest prays a prayer of exorcism and Dracula dies. Paul rescues Maria and they both leave Dracula's castle.
