Better gas mileage and higher acceleration speed are 2 most important features that are most likely to come in this future minivan from Dodge. With the looks in the spy shots it seems that the car might have some extra interior space too. The overall design looks much boxier.

2008 Dodge Caravan is expected to be fitted with 4.0-liter V6 engine, 255 horsepower with 265 lb-ft of torque. This is quite common with minivan engines to have low horsepower and high torque as full load acceleration is more important then unloaded sprints.

In terms of design, I would say that the manufacturer is somewhat trying to follow the minivan from Honda, The Oddessy. Chrysler is supposed to be the first promoter of the minivans.

There is a high demand for hybrid engine in minivans and I am not sure why they are not introduced in this segment at large. It could make more people interested in the car.
